A lovely quiet day all to myself, totally recharged. Much needed. I went for a long drive, walked up a hill - although I took landscapes with my iphone I really don't like the quality so will wait til the film is finished. I stopped in Stromness for soup and had a wander around. Drove back to Yesnaby where I found the piano, realised there was also this old sewing machine table in a different room. There was a cupboard in a dark room so I put flash on my phone and a bloody feral cat shot out. I screamed so loud, I don't know who got the biggest fright.
Oh my goodness! That must have scared the heck out of you!Love this.very nostalgic for me.My dad worked for singer and we had several antique machines in our old house.
I have one of these, it is over 100years old, brought out from scotland to New Zealand unfortunately I can't get it working freely, and it has become a table....not quite as negelcted as this one!
@sheilag I went to the opening - Urghhh! Forgot why I never go so I left as so many people there. I briefly saw mine and stayed as far away as possible! Thank you though - did you put any in? You definately should
That sounds like a heavenly day - I love old sewing machines - the house we moved into when I was 10 had one of these built into a portable cupboard thing and it was what I learned to sew on. Love the graininess of this

@peterdegraaff sounds interesting Peter, I'll look into that. Is it Flickr or a dedicated website. Actually the more I think about it it's definately yes. Another film thing to fill my life. I can turn any conversation around to photography, there's quite a knack. Stromness is lovely!

Great to have days like these (apart from a cat scaring you half to death - I am so jumpy, it would probably have taken me a fortnight to recover!!!) Your processing captures the perfect atmosphere! : )
