Glad to say the weather was much improved this morning so I went for a walk in the park for the final day of 30 days wild.
Lots to see today. The baby coots, swans and great crested grebe that I photographed in the spring were all there, growing up fast. The pochard with the red bill that I saw on the rainy day was there too. Also a new little family of four ducklings and another older family of six.
As I was walking around the lake my attention was drawn to a family of grey wagtails that were flitting about on the edge of the lake. I sat and watched them for a while and although they were quite far away I could see that the parents were feeding a young one.
I couldn't get too close to them because they flew away when anyone walked by, so I zoomed in and luckily captured the young one about to catch its own damselfly.
So that's my 30 days wild done, I've looked more closely at wildlife and have learned so much about what I've seen. Really enjoyed this month, and glad I was in a wild place with such good weather for 2 weeks of it!
