We went for a walk around the grounds of Lowther Castle today, somewhere we've driven past many times but never visited.
I was surprised by how colourful the gardens were, in particular the wildflower pasture, planted this year as a remembrance garden. It was full of poppies, conflowers, marigolds and camomile. It looked so beautiful and standing there in the sunshine it felt almost like a summer's day.
