A family of starlings has taken over the garden, the adults are giving the young ones mealworms from the bird feeders.
They seem happy with the arrangement but I don't think our cat feels the same way. She spends most of her time 'hiding' in a bush near the feeders, she thinks they can't see her but this one has definitely got its eye on her.
This one was perched in just the right place, the background was next door's plain painted wall which really brought out the colour of the feathers as they caught the light.
He looks quite cheeky. Love the colours. We don't see starlings where I live, but I have seen them in the cities in Australia along with English sparrows too.
