Invader by inthecloud5

The harlequin ladybird is not native to Britain, it arrived in 2004 and has spread rapidly across the country.

I found a couple of these larvae in the garden this afternoon so watched them for a while, I hope they make themselves useful and enjoy eating all the aphids.

I recorded them on the harlequin ladybird survey, they are monitoring the location of these insects.

For 30 days wild.
I have never seen one of these before. How interesting. A great closeup.
