In the middle of nowhere

We had a long drive today to the Isle of Skye on our way to the Outer Hebrides for a couple of weeks.

The route through the Highlands of Scotland is so scenic, fortunately there are a lot of parking places to stop for photos on the way. It would have taken a couple of days to get here if we'd stopped for all the photos I wanted to take though.

I liked this little white cottage in this wild landscape, it made me wonder who might live in a place like this, miles from anywhere!

I've never been to Scotland but it's somewhere I really want to visit, especially Skye and the more wild places... I'd love to live somewhere like that!

great! I think the same thing when I see a line of telegraph poles going up a hill and out of sight and you know someone lives even further into the wilderness that you are at that moment!

Buchalle Etiv Mor, My wife and I climbed this at easter couple of years ago, The snow was pretty rotten by then and we had to descend using ropes as the normal route had bad cornices over it ready to avalanche.
