Peregrine changeover

We went to see the peregrine falcons that nested last year on the cliffs on the Isle of Man, someone told us they were in the same location again.

When we arrived we had a really clear view of a bird sitting on the edge of the cliff, we were reliably informed that this was the male. Then the female flew out from the nest and the male flew in to take over. So we watched the her for a while as she sat and fixed her feathers. Quite a treat to see both birds and get some photos of them as well as getting a glimpse of at least 2 eggs in the nest. Next time we go there might be chicks :)
What a terrific experience to catch both of them. Love the lighting and your depth of field with the water behind.

Super captures. I particularly like the one on the left with the ocean background.
