The starling chicks are coming to the feeders unsupervised now, the adults leave them to it most of the time.
There is a lot of squabbling amongst them, they arrive in large numbers, eat a few mealworms, have a good fight, fly away. 2 minutes later they're back and it all starts again. It carries on until all the mealworms are gone and then it goes quiet again.
Everything about this is wonderful -- of course the birds and the timing, but also the natural looking nest thing that I've been admiring for awhile now -- and the lovely bokeh in colors and light.
