St Nick's....

Legend has it Christopher Columbus prayed in St Nicholas's , Galway being the last stop he made before crossing the Atlantic.
How lovely to see this beautiful architecture of yesteryear! Your history was long underway before ours even began! I find that sort of history so fascinating!

Excellent choice of camera angle. Of course, from this angle, Columbus probably did think that the world was about to drop off.....

@ukandie1 I love the way Church spires often appear above the trees , I was thinking about your Aqua tower when taking this because even though it was built in the 14th century it is still one of the tallest buildings in Galway . It was desecrated by Cromwell's army in 1654 some of the faceless statues are still inside the church...Thanks as always for your comment...
