It's not really a selfie of course because I did'n take it I did the restoration though. I am not the one pulling the cart by the way that's Neddy This was taken on a summers day in 1964 according to the back, outside the house I grew up in . We had to get spring water from a well about a mile from the house, hence the water can . The little girl sitting on the other side of the can from me was my best friend back then Caroline who would die tragically over Christmas 1967. Looking at this picture now I realize I am not related to anybody in the picture ( Neddy Included ) from the left is Margaret who was visiting from England, Caroline, Me , Anne, ( Caroline's Mother) and Mary Ellen...
very interesting photo ~ you must have grown up in a very rural area. I remember those milkcans ~ I think that is what you are leaning up against in the photo. I have several of them still from my grandparents farm. Neat idea to include this post :)
@sitiodown you are right it is a milk can , I was pressed for time as I had to go and vote after work, so I included this ,You commented on a election poster I posted a while back so I will let you know the result when it is declared this afternoon, thanks as always for your comment....
I love old photos and this is a really good one. Full of character. Sorry to hear that ur friend died so young but very precious to have a picture of her.
