Ha'penny Bridge by jack4john

Ha'penny Bridge

So named because of the halfpenny toll charged to cross it. Built in 1815 the toll was dropped in 1919. Be sure to cross it when visiting Dublin.
You have made it look so nostalgic. What a wonderful shot. What did they use the toll for before it was dropped?
