No smile day 2015

A few years ago Galway got a present of a statue called Oscar & Eduard,from the good people of Estonia.It commemorates Eduard Vilde (1865 - 1933 an Estonian writer, and Oscar Wilde 1853-1900. It has proved to be very popular because between the two writers there is a seat,a place to rest on Shop Street, always welcome....
Oscar once said “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” There didn't seem to be anybody looking at the stars last Saturday.
