Salruck Church by jack4john

Salruck Church

This is the old Protestant Church of Salruck deep in the heart of Connemara. A prayer leaflet inside dated 15 august 1993 seems to be when a service was last held there. It is in a really quiet, sparsely populated place. In 1943 the Philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein was looking for a place to escape the horrors of WW2 arrived in the area, he called it " the last pool of darkness I Europe". Black background will add to the gloom, thanks...
Wish I could be sitting in there right now for a few days....or for four years.

The foreground appears textured, though can't figure out exactly how or what. Large grass clumps?
