52. Time for tea.....

I am not an obsessive tea drinker, but I do enjoy a cuppa first thing in the morning and a mid afternoon tea. Now that my husband is retired we try to make a point of stopping for morning coffee and afternoon tea, although I don't always get the camera out!
Thank you for your comments on my recent experiments with backdrops/flash etc, they are most appreciated.
fav - this is beautifully done and so clever with the bokeh. How did you insert that ? is it like fairy lights behind the cup somewhere or did you edit it that way?

@annika82 - thanks Annika! I have some decorative twigs in a tall vase that have little lights attached. I put the teacup on the edge of a table about 3' away, used a very shallow depth of field (f/2) and focused on the cup. That then throws the lights out of focus. It is a fun technique and easy to do once you get the hang of it. There are lots of tutorials on Youtube and you only need cheap fairy lights to have a go.

@jackie8 - perhaps, but it's the classy style that's all your own that i recognized. anybody can take a photo like that but not exude the same jackieS class.
