for the technique challenge 49 - soft focus.
today was our first snowfall so I grabbed a knee-hi and went to shooting! seriously achieved by putting a stocking over the lens and voila! it was flesh colored. kind of intriguing what other colors might do.
I like the antiqued look the 'filter' gave the image. I like how the one branch of the foreground tree curves perfectly with the wider limb of the background tree.
@kimdavis we got about 5 inches Kim. other areas got more...first sign of snow at all. we are expecting 50 degree weather on Thanksgiving...that's Pure Michigan!
@lyndemc thanks Denise. I have been playing with that shot all summer and fall. never got it framed quite right. I was cutting out most of the larger tree. keeping the trunk in the shot worked much better than what I was previously shooting. I appreciate the feedback
