this weekend I will crew my 6th and likely my final Breast Cancer 3Day. a couple thousand women and men will walk 60 miles in three days to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. they are my heroes. after walking 20 miles we serve them dinner, they dance, shower, sleep and we serve them breakfast before they go and do it again...and finally one more time on Sunday. 60 miles total...90 degree heat. some still in treatment. others in honor of a lost loved one or a loved survivor...perhaps a mother, a spouse, or like me sisters, aunts, cousins, friends...too many.
time to end it. please pray for them as they embark on this monumental feat...they will endure road rash, cramps, horrific blisters, falls and dehydration. they will cry, laugh and dance and be greeted at the finish by their loved ones and then they will sleep and Monday they will carry on with their normal lives...my heroes.
