die cast and dust. by jackies365

die cast and dust.

almost midnight. no shot today. worn out from an early morning yesterday to serve at a soup kitchen and then spending the afternoon with my friend...her brother died. I went to sit with her until the funeral home came to take him into their care. we've been friends for most of our lives. so hard to see her have to go through this. I've done it twice with a brother and a sister. something about losing a sibling is so different than any other death. anyway, my faith in human beings was stronger because of events that transpired because of his passing. good in the sadness. she doesn't know yet but she will. may you rest well Jeb.
so now, a shot searching for light at almost midnight just to get one in for the day. bought this truck for my husband because I thought he'd like it in his man room at the new house. desperately needs dusting though.
Nice focus, even picking up the dust.

Your shot is beautiful. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. And I'm sure she was very grateful to have you come sit and wait with her in a very difficult time. I lost my brother, too. It's so difficult to lose a sibling. Hugs to you all. ❤

What you've shared about life and loss is so touching. *sigh*. So many sad moments sometimes. I'm impressed with your determination to get a picture taken for the day, even when it means a nearly-midnight effort. Nicely done.
