proper disposal

every year my friend has a bonfire pot luck hayride kind of party at her farm. it is the night of the full moon in october. her brother does a ceremony to dispose of American flags that have seen better days. I've posted a color photo of this event before on my project but tried a black and white. to do this he removes the stars from the stripes and then burns the pieces. when they are separated, it is no longer considered an American flag. we sing and mike does a reading from the Bible as well.
Sounds a nice tradition and a bit of fun

What a fine way to respect the Stars and Stripes. I'm impressed. Looks great in B&W.
