Fairly successful photo after surgery. The rest that I took just resulted in lots of pain and anger lol. I plan on doing some more as the pain is lessening. So expect some more water droplet/refraction photos as we are covered in ice currently so it's not very safe for me to walk outside even with my walker
@30pics4jackiesdiamond sure I have a lot of time lol. The dandelion clock is being held by a small clamp set on the table there is a flower that came from my bouquet from my grandchildren sat behind it probably 6 in away. I sprayed the dandelion clock with a fine mist water bottle. You can also place droplets with a syringe with a blunt and on it. I just ordered one to try and do more specific placement of the drops. I set my flash to shoot at the flower not the dandelion clock so it lights up from behind. Obviously the focus is set to try to get the refraction of the flower in the droplets. Many of the successful photographers who do this will focus stack lots of images to achieve a good clear front to back one. Of course I used a macro lens and mine had an additional extender tube on it. Lots of YouTube videos available.
@jackies365 - so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Hope it passes as quickly as possible.
You have produced an amazing photo through your suffering.
This is fab, could you take some time to say how you did this? It's fabulous 😍
