Tiptoe through the tulips

Day 6 of the may words challenge.
We were lucky today to find a field with tulips because in this month the farmers remove the tulipheads to stimulate the growth of the bulbs

De bloemen worden niet verkocht? Alleen de bollen? Wat doen ze met de bloemhoofden. Prachtige kleur en veld!

@overalvandaan Dank je ! Soms maken ze wel wat bosjes voor verkoop langs de weg maar meestal koppen ze de bollen en laten de plant verder groeien zodat alle voeding naar de bol gaat en niet naar de bloem. Vroeger werden de koppen dan voor bloemencorso's gebruikt. Ik weet niet of ze dat nog steeds doen.
