I loved this quaint signpost 4 hours walking to Wijk bij Duurstede and 2 hours walking to Amersfoort. But our goal was to see the blooming heather!

Great signpost. Many decades ago "blooming" was a polite swear word in England (probably still is), so your last sentence could be taken literally (the heather was blooming) or with humour... 😀
