After being away from our caravan for the day it was strange and slightly laughable to find that we had landed in a lake…….
A freakishly heavy rain storm caused a lot of trouble; flooded roads, no electricity and an unexpected lake. Our little caravan ( in the middle of this shot) wasn’t damaged and is dry inside.
@tdaug80 Hi Tim, this wasn’t what you had in mind I’m sure, but this is one holiday that I will not easily forget and the tales will grow the coming years……. I have some other photos that I will put into a collage tomorrow after we hopefully have dried out a bit.

Ah, thank God all well. This happened to us when camping in France about 15 years ago. We woke up one morning after torrential rain overnight, and the caravan was literally in the middle of a lake that was only a few inches from the bottom of the chassis. It was a blocked storm drain and luckily the farmer sorted it quickly, but we had a wobbly half-hour. The joys of camping! 😁
@jacqbb It is indeed what I had in mind. I was just looking for some humor in a photo. Aside from the humor of this situation, it's an excellent photo. The reflections work well, as do the ripples in the water.
