Fascinating piece of engineering work, visited this weekend. The Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift. It acts as the gateway to Scotland's Lowland canal network and is where the Forth and Clyde Canal meet the Union Canal. This is looking along the canal from the top level, 35 metres above the lower canal where the boats are lifted from.
Fantastic pov and great reflection too, not to mention the landscaqpe in the background. I have ancestors from Scotland so the location mentioned in your description caught my eye.
@ch1ppy_m1nton Chippy, I've put another photo up on my Odds and Sods album - you'll see better how the lift operates there, I think. I have a million more, but I won't bore you with them! @pixiemac If you live anywhere closeby Sarah, it's definitely worth a visit. Good for all ages! @frankhymus@carolyns@ziggy77@amyamoeba@jantan@jo13 Thanks for the kind comments.
How interesting. I'd never heard of this till yesterday when someone else sent me a group of pictures that included one of this, now yours.
I do like your perspective here with the view receding off through the concentric semi-circles.
