Sous Les Ponts de Paris

This was one I took last week when walking in Paris.
Nice repetition and high key effect. The people are a great bonus.

Wonderful composition, and use of light.

@salza Thanks. I waited around a while to get someone in the right place - without anyone else popping into the scene!

I read this comment and see the beauty of this architecture around you and think of how different our surroundings are, me here in this "bedroom community" with not a shred of "charming architecture in the vicinity! That's tacky of me to word it in that fashion! Better I should say you have such a beautiful city to walk in and I love that you share the photos from there as well!

@Weezilou Thank you Louise - I am very aware that I am spoiled for choice when it comes to things to photograph. I just need to jump on the train and I have the whole of Paris at my disposal!

@jamibann ...NOW you're rubbing it in! WE don't even have very good public transit! Have a look at what Anita posted today http://365project.org/aglennc/365 and the conversation between Elizabeth, Ron, her and me! We all live within a half hour drive of this place (if there was no congestion!)

@Weezilou Sorry! ;-) I did have a peek at that photograph of Anita's ... and your conversation. It is a beautiful image and the houses are each individually very beautiful, but I totally understand the frustration of the congestion. However, if I had to use our car I'd be frustrated in Paris too - it's often very congested here. We do own a car, but rarely use it. BUT, we do have public transportation strikes to contend with in France - the French do love a strike, and May is the favourite month for it!

Can't get rid of that song
Beautiful picture. Fav.

Love the high key effect! Booked my last train ticket (had to wait for that 3 month mark!)

And let's hope the strikes are over by June 15! Excited that my daughter and I will be in Paris for Fete de la musique! Put on your calendar June 16-22 (we leave for Provence the 23rd). Hope we can meet in the city if you are in town!

@darylo Ah, yes, those three months! ;-) I've noted your dates and at the moment I'm free! There is a possibility I'll be in Scotland week of 13th June, but if I am I'd be back by Monday 20th. It would be very cool to meet up! :-)
