Such an interesting image! Like Kathy, I thought it was some sort of tree ornament when the photo first appeared on my screen. Excellent focus and POV! Amazing shell pattern! :-)
@gaylewood@randystreat Funnily enough, I said to my daughter that it looked strangely 'Christmassy' too! The Erica looks more like a pine tree than a bush of heather, I guess, hence the thought process.
I think snails are just the coolest creatures. I remember when I was 5, 6 years old the family lived where there were lots of snails and I spent my days finding them, talking to them, making sure the neighbor kids didn't bother them. None had shells are gorgeous as this one does though. It's beautiful!
@lyndemc There's a definite intriguing side to a snail, but I can't like them as they scoff so many of my garden plants. I'd rather they just went to visit someone else's garden ... but they are good for the odd photo on a quiet day! :-)
