Bittersweet

Yesterday was my mother-in-law's funeral, today is my father-in-law's 90th birthday. A small celebration was held for him. We couldn't let the day go by unmarked. Here he is, blowing out the candles.

Oh, Issi...this certainly is bittersweet. A 90th birthday is definitely one to be marked and although your father-in-law probably didn't feel like celebrating with a lot of gusto, I'm sure he appreciated the love and concern of his family to make sure his birthday was not forgotten. My heart goes out to him, I'm sure this is a very difficult time for him.
