Long Shadows at St. Germain en Laye

I went to our book club meeting last night out in St. Germain en Laye ... quite a long trek for me, as I no longer live out that way. However, it was a lovely evening and I had a wander around the park as I arrived a bit early. Instead of the iconic chateau, I give you my shadow! I hope you're not too underwhelmed!

iPhone shot.

And in case you're interested or looking for a new book to read, our book choice last night was 'Blindness' by Jose Saramago. Excellent.
all those straight lines!

Saramago is an excellent author. I think your book club and mine read the same novel. I don't know the English translation, but the Dutch title (in English) is "The city of the blinds".

Oh, what long legs you have! The shadows and the rain gutter make an interesting pattern in the foreground.

Just waiting for the shadow to stick out a leg and an arm and imitate the statue up there.......though you probably couldn't press the shutter if you did!!

@casablanca Ha ha ... if only I'd even thought of that! ;-)

Funny narrative and I think @casablanca had the right idea!

Love the way your shadow mirrors the statue, well nearly.
