By My Own Fireside

I was so sure, judging by the weather forecast, that Storm Deirdre was going to bring me lots of white fluffy snow yesterday, that I never looked for another photo opportunity. However the snow never came to anything - just some pretty wet sleety stuff yesterday evening. But, sitting in front of the stove last night I was entertained by watching the flames devouring the log and thought it could replace the snowy image I'd been anticipating. Better on black, definitely.
Nice and warm, under control too!!

I can practically hear the crackling and feel the warmth. Fires on the hearth are so mesmerizing.

Yesterday I curled up next to our fireplace as well. It always offers great photo ops. :)

I would sit in front of a log fire instead of the TV any time. Good shot.
