The Lairig Ghru by jamibann

The Lairig Ghru

Well, we made it through the Lairig on Thursday, tired but happy after this 28km walk. This was taken at the beginning of the walk, the chalamain gap. The mist came and went during the day and it was cold and windy, but we got great views over the Cairngorms as we walked. I had other better images, which I may post at a later date, but I wanted to show that the Cairngorm mountains is not always a friendly place - even in summer.

I'll be catching up on my commenting very soon ...
oh I do like the POV for this image and wowee the perspective of the people!!!!

It looks quite inhospitable. Sounds like you had a great time though.

Quite a challenge in such barren areas but also so much more along the way.
