The highest 18-hole course in Scotland. We had a lovely game there yesterday, prior to lunch with dad, brother Steve and S-i-L Lindsay, and followed by bramble picking! A super day.
Wonderful pic! I played for a few years and loved the game!! So many games in one!! I had to chose between photography and golf! Not enough time for both!!
That looks like a beautiful course. Coming from a summer of playing on the island, my first thought was, what a thick green fairway! Ours has become quite brown (but means we get a lot of distance from the 'beaver island bounce').
@taffy The only bounce we get is usually into the river as it snakes through the course. No sand bunkers in Braemar though, so I suppose there has to be some other form of punishment for wayward golfers! It's been so wet here this summer that everything is green and lush - which also means the ball doesn't run too far on the fairways. It's all great fun though! :-)
@photographycrazy Yes. Golf (and photography) is a time consuming pastime. I slipped my wee camera into my bag on this occasion. It's a quiet course, and a couple of extra minutes on the tee-box isn't a problem for anyone. There was no-one behind or in front of us on Tuesday - which I love!
