Another selfie from our foray to the Dubh Loch yesterday, and an alternative view of my 'sunbathing' spot! A dark, gloomy place, as my dad described it!
I think you should have got closer with this shot. I realise that you were trying a group shot with the loch included, but you and your companions are presumably the subject of the shot, and you all look a little lost in the scene.
Amazing to capture the context of your hike. Saw Lee's comment and disagree. I don't see these as having the people as a focus, but rather the people within the context of the event.
That’s a fabulous selfie.....it does look slightly that if you pushed you would all fall back into the loch though! A wonderful place to have a lovely memento like this!
@gamelee Thanks for the feedback Lee. I was limited on where I could place the camera but also I did want to get the loch (and weather) into the scene as I wanted the image to represent the group of friends as well as the walk we'd done. Probably not photographically sound, but it was a fun shot to take!
@taffy That is more what I was trying to achieve with the photo, Taffy - a memory shot that would encompass the event, the location and the group of friends. Plus I was limited by my wee camera and finding something to place it on to set up the shot. It was, as always, great fun doing it though, and required several takes and lots of patience from hubby and friends!
