I went up to Braemar yesterday to visit dad. It's only a half hour drive from our house, and there was a bit of snow there at lunchtime. However, by the time we left it had already turned to slush.
Here you can see the river Clunie, which runs into the Dee at Braemar. Dad's house sits right on this river, just beyond the buildings on the right hand side. It's an old converted meal mill.
In the background you can just make out the snowy slopes of Morrone.
It's our wee girl's birthday today. 26 already. How did that happen?!
Super spot to live and a gorgeous mono shot. Your daughter cannot be that old!!! I know......one minute they are born, the next you blink and suddenly they are after your car keys!
So much to see here Issi....I never knew black & white could be so beautiful. Your scene is so indicative of the area your dad & you live in....I can almost hear the tumbling waters of the river Clunie. Happy birthday to your girl!
Beautiful mono landscape ... Your Dad is in a pretty good spot .. although it does look a tad chilly . Happy birthday to your Girl .. it was my #2 GD's birthday today as well .. she got her learners license .. that makes me feel real old...
