What's for Dinner?

Last night it was another Jamie meal - Angry Pasta Fagioli. It was very brightly coloured and very tasty.
Looks good, I've been trying out a few new recipes recently.

What a treat to have something that looks so tasty! After a lifetime of traditional British cooking we are finally breaking out of our rut. I have liked more exciting cooking for a few years now but Harry is only just getting on to pasta!! 🤣🤣

@busylady Yes, me too! And enjoying having the time to do so.

@happypat Yes, my mum used to be frustrated by my dad who never liked 'foreign' food! However, funnily enough, now that he's on his own, he's happy for anything home made that comes his way - foreign or not! He's still a mince and tatties man at heart, though!

@sarah19 Yes, lots of new recipes being tried in this household. I loved the bright colours of this one as it was cooking. I have to say that it didn't look as nice after the pasta and other ingredients had been added, but everyone gave it the thumbs up!

Am I seeing chilis and (mango)? Even if I'm wrong, I'm thinking that combination would make a delicious salsa!

@Weezilou That does sound like a delicious salsa ... but actually you are looking at chilis and carrots and butternut squash - to which was later added onions, garlic, tomatoes, beans and pasta. Simple and delicious - with a rosemary oil (freshly ground rosemary, oil and vinegar) and some grated parmesan on top.

That sounds utterly delicious! I went very traditional last night as it was cold and made a beef stew with dumplings!

@jamibann I do t mi d as long as he tries it before he says he doesn’t like it! The secret is usually if he eats it when he’s at someone else’s house particularly a Cathy’s then he will move on & I can make it! 😋😁

Your dinner sounds spectacular! We have lots of rosemary growing in the yard, but I never thought to mull it with oil...yum! Thanks for the suggestion!
