I'll leave you to work that out. Although our son's comment was 'what about you and dad's attributes, mum?'!
Anyway, I present 'The Wall'! Finished. Just in time for hubby to go fishing today. It's not perfect, far from it, (spot the wonky coping stone ...) but it's pretty good for a couple/trio of rookies, I think.
Well done Issi (brain, brawn and beauty, and a lot more) this looks awesome. Building walls is not that easy and you did all great. This wall will also be a forever symbol for this difficult time in history, but also that your son was home,... Enjoy what you all achieved. And maybe you do a copper plate, to tell the story...
What a handsome family photo and *a VERY impressive* wall to show for your joined efforts! Driving around England with Pam last fall, I was so impressed with the stone walls, but they were just "hung together" compared with the beauty of this! This one will stand the course of time!!! And Mona has it right when she suggests the name and date plate! I think you all have something to be proud of there! I'd also suggest you have an overload of B, B AND B to go around...and a dash of sass for your son! No slackers here!
@Weezilou Thank you Louise! It took us almost 3 weeks, but we made it. We'd never have managed without our son to lift the heaviest of the stones. Granite is a TON weight!
What a great image and wow what an achievement! You should all be very proud! I am sure this wall will stand the test of time like the walls in Derbyshire and Yorkshire that I love!
Awesome wall- well done! You have a good looking family- looks like those B words might fit more than one member of it. The wall will now be a good memory of all that hard work and the fact you were able to do it together. Nice shot- should be framed and put on the mantle too!
My dad built a dry stone wall the length of the veg garden, he made a good job with no cement anywhere it’s wonkeyness added to its beauty.
