Aberdeen Beach by jamibann

Aberdeen Beach

We had reason to be in Aberdeen very early yesterday morning, and passed by the beach to see lots of surfers out trying to catch some wave. I liked the image of this surfer waiting for the wave with the background of supply ships and wind turbines. That's how Aberdeen rolls!
what a great image this makes - super composition!

Nice juxtaposition indeedy. Bit cold in the water right now, I should think!

Terrific combination :)

I've never seen the turbines out in the water.

Love how you've composed this

How splendid! I think wind turbines are amazing. We’ve seen them in the Irish Sea when going to and from the Isle of Man. Remarkable marine engineering.

That’s a very interesting photo, the person looks like he’s sitting in the middle of the sea. Very effective with the turbines behind. My brother once ran a hotel in Aberdeen years ago.

This looks so surreal- but you can see it's "all natural". Good catch!

I like you PoV, as if you're lying on the sand. It's quite an active scene with surfer, the ship and the wind turbines, not to mention the wave action.

It looks a bit cold in the water. The turbines and the ship look quite imposing - one brave surfer!

I've been researching my Aberdeen ancestors again and was delighted to get a glimpse of your area again. Are those turbines in the water?

@genealogygenie Yes, there are quite a few wind turbines offshore Aberdeen, and doubtless in other coastal places in the UK too.
