I took this photo on Sunday, and have had it sitting in my 'pending 365 file' - my back up photos if I can't get a photo on the day I need to post one. I laughed yesterday when I saw a post from Haskar - almost exactly the same photo as mine with the same title. So, I had to post it today, didn't I?! @haskar. Good timing too, as I haven't had a chance to get a photo for today's post. :-)
Dad seemed to be doing a lot better yesterday, so I'm cautiously optimistic! :-)
I see what you mean. I know that some birds from Scandinavia fly to Scotland for the winter and some to Poland. They come in large groups and make an amazing impression. They like old trees and human proximity. Their view and noise is mesmerizing, especially on gray and cloudy days.
Glad to hear your Dad is doing better.
Of course nosy me had to click on to @haskar photo & indeed it is uncannily pretty much identical....both clever photographers with like minds! I always love the stark tracery of bare branches & the birds add so much! Glad to hear dad is more like himself!
@happysnaps The 'weeping willow' is actually a birch tree - we have many different varieties here. This 'weeping' variety is definitely my favourite! I am entranced by them, they are so delicate, especially when the begin to lose their leaves.
@haskar Yes, we have a huge number of crows in our village. We often see them at the top of our Douglas Fir in the garden. They congregate at the top, and then suddenly they all fly off, making an incredible noise. I'm not so keen on them though, when they eat the little birdies' food!
the details in the tree limbs is awesome, and I love how every crow is in flight. Bet it was loud as they all took flight. They seem to discuss raucously their every thought!
Good to hear your Dad is doing better.

Splendid and uncanny...
