Good to see Balmoral from above...such a pretty turreted castle. I have never been to that part of the world although we did live in Forres when I was a baby. Lovely edit of this famous place. The staff & those walls will be sad this week.

@happypat Oh, this is Braemar castle, and just a stone's throw from our mutual friends! Although I admit it looks quite grand, and the flag is at half mast for HRH Prince Philip, nonetheless! Did I already tell you I was born in Forres? Can't remember if that's cropped up in 'conversation' before or not?! @Weezilou Pat is leading you astray! ;-) This is Braemar castle and is not occupied. It's open for visitors, or at least will be soon. Balmoral however, is still occupied during certain months of the year.
