We are hopefully on the final straight with the sale of dad's house. After a couple of unforeseen hiccoughs regarding a boundary line and an Estate pre-empt, we are at last ready and able to set a completion date with dad's ever-patient buyer. We cut the grass yesterday for the last time, we think. Fingers crossed, it's been a long haul.
@leggzy@maggiemae Yes, it was a derelict meal mill which dad restored himself over a period of years. It used to be called the Mill of Auchendryne when dad bought the ruin, but he renamed it as The Granary. Lots of hours of graft went into that building and it's only ever been habited by our family. A new beginning for it with a new family.
Well done....never an easy task selling houses........lovey iron sign....good to get completion.....tinged with sadness too....but memories will always be there X
Good news but a bitter sweet day….memories will always be there every time you pass it. Hope your dad has settled in his lovely new home & you will be happy he is safe & being looked after. Fingers crossed that you beat the final hurdle!
Hope Dad doing well.
