As I whiled away the time waiting for our daughter to arrive, I took a walk down to Aberdeen beach. We used to love to walk there when the kids were small and we lived in Aberdeen. The scene is different in many ways today - there are wind turbines, surfers and food trucks. It has a good vibe to it though, and I bought coffee and a chocolate brownie. There were 7 surfers in the water yesterday, waiting on wave a lot of the time. You can just about make out one of them on the left of this image.
Daughter eventually arrived at 8.10 pm, having had to take the bus from Edinburgh as the trains were on strike. But she made it after almost two days of travel! Feeling happy.
Glad your daughter made it eventually. She would be very glad to get home.
