10 days after hiking through calf-deep snow, this is what's left. Patches here and there. Angus, our friend Caroline's dog, was finding them all though. And loving it!
Yesterday was another of our Fast and Furious Fridays ... and considering we had two 80 year old men (and four dogs) in the group we kept up a very acceptable pace.
Wow..... quite a clearance. But 'where there's a little hinging about the dykes it'll be waiting for more ' is a phrase we learned here 😂. But perhaps not!
One never knows how cold or warm it will be anymore. We haven't had snow but have had some cold days (for the southern USA) with cutting winds sandwiched between 50 and 60 degree days when one doesn't even need a jacket. Mother Nature is getting very tricky.
My first thought was, "Oh dear- what happened to the dog!?" We had snow the other day that looked beautiful until the rain started and by the next morning you wouldn't have known it snowed. Yesterday and today it was sweater weather- but we're heading into February and that's always cold here so...we'll see! Good shot.
