In the USA, the National Park Service has a campaign called "Opt Outside," encouraging people to spend the Friday and weekend after Thanksgiving at a national park instead of a mall. We not only did that, we stayed at Canyonlands National Park in Utah in our son's ranger house which is just five miles from this iconic view, Mesa Arch. This was yesterday morning's sunrise.

Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of Mesa Arch at sunrise in Canyonlands National Park in Utah. We've photographed it before, but we never know how long our son will be a ranger at this park, so we decided to do it again because it is so near his home. It is famous for glowing red when the sun rises, and so there was a crowd of people there at sunrise. We didn't even try to get a spot in the crowd, but as it thinned out, I held my camera above my head and over some other cameras and took this shot.
