Thanks so much for your comments about my photo of the moth. It is near a water feature that attracts little yellow birds, and I've been trying all summer to capture just the right photo of one of those shy birds in the water, but I had to settle for a moth on this day.

I had a wonderful friend who was the world expert on moths and in charge of the section in The British Museum in London. My husband remembers taking him out to lunch one day and being in his office beforehand being shown various drawers of moth displays. They all had fancy names and our friend said "at the end the of the day they are just little brown moths!" But he loved them and knew them all. I love a moth!
