Thanks so very much for commenting on my photo of the two deer in the aspen woods. The forest was so interesting because it burned completely about 15 years ago, and now these short aspen are growing tall in its place. Aspen share one common root. As we were hiking through this meadow, the deer heard us and started dancing around. It was magical. Deer do not wander into Albuquerque like they do in other cities, so we see them only when we visit the mountains.
