Giant Cloudy Moon over Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

“According to folklore tradition, the March full moon is known as the worm moon because it coincides with the period when the earth thaws and earthworms begin to emerge.”

Just for perspective Albuquerque at the River flowing thru it is 5,000 foot elevation. The top of the mountains is over 10,000 foot elevation. Rising over the mountains the moon still looks this big.

Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of the giant moon over Albuquerque. We almost missed it because it was behind clouds and we couldn't make it out at first.
