This view of our beautiful city from West End-Elliott Overlook Park shows the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers joining to form the Ohio River at Pittsburgh’s Point State Park (locally known as The Point). Once upon a time, American Indians kept their eyes on settlements at The Point from this lofty perch.
The iconic fountain usually visible at The Point is turned off during the Winter months. I photographed the fountain in October 2015, and you can see it here: http://365project.org/janetb/365/2015-10-01
A very beautiful view with soft colours and light. I like the touch of nature in the foreground too. Fav for me! Interesting info to accompany this capture.
