I like the sound of "summer snapdragon;" but I like the sound of "angelonia," too. No matter which name I choose to call it, I like this plant. Its tall, slender spikes stand in stark contrast to the marigolds' dense, shrubby shape. The two play well together in the kitchen garden.
The sweet, flute-like song of a Wood Thrush drifted out of the trees as the evening sunlight shimmered; and sometimes there's just nothing left to do but stare in awe of the beauty. So I did.
