Gracie loves laps, especially, during morning coffee. She spent some time this morning curled up in the sun chewing one of her favorite store-bought toys, which in no way compares to her favorite natural toys — acorns — one of which landed loudly beside her when it fell from the tall oak overhead like a gift from God Himself. Overjoyed, she quickly turned her attention to chewing it to bits. She followed all this fun with laptime; and the warm, summer morning fire did not deter her. Panting with little pink tongue dangling, she stayed in her cozy position upon his lap and gazed at the dancing flames as we did.
