Thank you, Lord, for the Good News being shared on Pittsburgh's north shore.
Driving by, I discovered Hallelujah Anyhow!! Gospel Talk Barber Shop where the sign announces that clients can get "A touch up on the inside as well as on the outside." The yellow, diamond-shaped signs indicate that this business is also a "Safe Place" where troubled youth can go to find help. Hallelujah!!
(Also, Steelers pride runs deep in this city. Game day or not, black and gold's easily spotted. The pedestrian's reflection in the window shows a Steelers jacket and black and gold cap. "Go Steelers!" any day of the week.)
P.S. About my husband joining 365, I've suggested it, especially after he starts in on "that'd make a good picture", or "here, take a picture of this..." He's been into photography for as long as I have which was high school for the both of us. In fact, little secret here, we did a little kissing in the dark room during our photography class in junior/senior year. I still have the b&w photo he had taken of me that we were developing when the kiss was stolen.
LOL I know about Steelers pride- I was stuck in an airport with the team back in my undergrad days (waaaay back!). I love it when Christians are excited about sharing their faith and reaching out to the community. I pray these folks have more business they can handle and see success in the ones you come to them for help. Good shot!
@lyndemc Oh, Denise, great memory...great love story...and what a special picture that surely is! With him being into photography and accompanying you on photo op explorations anyway, he should join 365...perhaps one day he will! How fun that the two of you share a hobby! My husband and I look forward to traveling more when he retires. That's when he'll begin to take more pictures, and I'll love that because I love seeing the world through his eyes. We can be looking at the same scene, and come away with completely different pictures. He tends to shoot wide to capture the whole scene, and I tend to shoot tight to capture some tiny detail!
The guy reflected in the window was likely very happy about the Steeler's win over the Dolphins last weekend.
