Thank you, Lord, for time spent sitting on a bench with my wonderful husband, gazing at Dragonfly Pond.
Mike and I went in search of migrating waterfowl again today; and in Yellow Creek State Park, we discovered Buffleheads, Hooded Mergansers, American Coots, Redheads, and a few more whose identification escaped us. We encountered ice, mud, and snow on the Waterfowl Observatory Trail; but the view from the blind at the end made the trek well worth the effort. This view, however, we enjoyed from a bench at beautiful Dragonfly Pond (alongside Yellow Creek Lake but thoughtfully reserved for fishing only by children and the handicapped).
