Thank you, Lord, for the funny memories of John's aversion to these thorns.
The rosy glow of our Rosy Glow Barberries stands out beautifully against the surrounding green. When I see them, I chuckle at the memories of John in his younger years complaining when asked to clean up or mulch around these pretty shrubs. Sharp thorns line the branches; and to my then teenage son, asking him to work anywhere near the Barberries surely made me the worst Mom ever. :)
